With Viatri in the Group
The Boca squad trained in the Pedro Pompilio Complex in anticipation of Sunday's match against Vélez in the Bombonera. Lucas Viatri, after a week of differential training work, was added to the group and is at Borghi's disposition.
The Boca squad began the day's work in the gymnasium of the complex. The latest news is that Lucas Viatri has joined the group and trained alongside his teammates. He looks happy, active, and physically prepared. He completed the field work closely followed by the coaching staff, with normal movements and showing his full recovery.
The players divided into two groups. The first moved around the goal, with García and Lucchetti alternating the post. Mouche, Escudero and Nico González alternated feeding the ball to the center while the forwards wove in and out of those acting as rival defensive players. Araujo, Palermo and Vitri worked with moving the ball over the goalkeeper as well as to both sides. Later, the defenders began to play in the midfield with Marín (in place of Caruzzo), as well as Cellay and Insaurralde. Matías Caruzzo did not complete the training because as a precautionary measure.
On the other side of the playing field, the squad played a reduced-space scrimmage. Scapparoni, Clemente, Erbes, Battaglia, Medel, Colazo, Méndez, Chávez, Giménez and Mazzola formed one team. D´Angelo, Caruzzo (until he had to come out for a collision), Sauro, Rossi, Calvo, Achucarro, Marín, Insaurralde, Cellay and Pérez played up front.
The players return to work on Saturday at 4 pm, and after will remain in concentration for Sunday's match. According to what we saw this week, Medel will play in the center of the field with Seba Battaglia, leaving the Stopper position open for Cellay's return. Viatri will once again be Palermo's offensive partner, while Chávez will be the link in place of the injured Cañete.
