With his 21 years Fabián Monzón is experiencing what so far had only been his dream. The wingback has consolidated his berth in Boca’s first division and due to his fine performances he succeeded to be summoned to the Sub 23 National Team that will travel to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
When asked how he feels about this summons, the junior says: “To play at Boca has always been my dream. Beyond everything that is being said, I feel happy: I am where I always wanted to be”.
He also referred to what it means to wear the jersey of the National Team and what he hopes might lie in his future: “My dream was to play at Boca and here I am. I had the expectation to play in the National Team and I’m only a step away. In the future I would like to be at Real Madrid".
