Lucas Castroman is working alongside his comrades since the pre-season began on July 7 at Casa Amarilla. The performance level he displayed in the friendlies against Tecos and Dorados is an accurate reflection of his intention not to disappoint Carlos Ischia, who asked management that the player may continue to play at the club.
"I want to take a firm foothold within the group and I want us to win” said the forward, who is looking for his best level after a semester full of injuries and misfortunes.
On account of the injury suffered by Rodrigo Palacio, Castroman is a candidate for the line-up of the first division team that will play Gimnasia de Jujuy in the first round of the Apertura tournament, and talked about a new stage in a chat with “Estudio Fútbol”.
“I did a good pre-season and I’m physically in good shape. I’m satisfied, have high hopes, and hope to take off at my best level, although this can only be ascertained once the tournament has begun. Hopefully I can improve on the level I had at Vélez, during the pre-season I worked toward this end. When one is appreciated one feels well and is keen on training strongly. I hope all these expectations will materialize and that things will work out well henceforth” the forward said.
Near the end of the interview Castroman admitted that he wishes to play alongside Martín Palermo and Palacio. ""I want to take a firm foothold within the group and I want us to win”
