| All the activities are
developed through these 5 big programs:
1.- Xeneize Kids Program
This program offers, since 2000, recreational, sport
and educational activities to over 180 La Boca children
every week. The activities are: recreation in playrooms,
introduction to sports (female and male football), drama
and cinema workshops, and cultural trips. Besides, we
have the Dream Workshop, where volunteers from the club
and the SOS Youth Foundation try to fulfill the dreams
of 100 children every year. This activity won the Ashoka
Award in 2003.
2.- Social Responsibility Program
Through this program, Boca donates equipment and games
to parks in poor neighborhoods throughout the country.
These games can also be used by disabled kids. Since
2000, we have helped almost 30 parks of 28 cities in
Buenos Aires and these provinces: Neuquén, Misiones,
Mendoza, Entre Ríos, Córdoba, Santa Fé,
Chaco, Tucumán, San Juan, Corrientes.
Boca also develops sport clinics with the participation
of Boca players and children from the area. The sporting
goods used for the clinics are later donated to a local
NGO.
3.- Everybody to the Stadium Program
This project started in 2005 and has the goal of giving
disabled people free entrance to Boca home matches.
From January through June, we have issued 215 credentials.
4.- Boca for the Kids Program
This program was created in 2004 and takes care of more
than 250 children. The goal is to improve school performance
and prevent dropouts among poor children between age
9 and 16 in Buenos Aires. The program allows them to
do gymnastics and play football, volleyball, basketball
and chess at the club for free during outside school
hours. Kids also must attend school support lessons
in charge of certified teachers. These activities are
held four times a week from 2 PM to 5.30 PM from April
through December.
5 .- Program of support to community institutions
This program has the goal of supporting community institutions
through events and donations. The institutions include:
Cosme Argerich hospital, Casa Garraham hospital, Social
Foundation for Welfare, Liver Transplant Foundation,
Volunteering Firefighters from La Boca and Vuelta de
Rocha, youth diners from La Boca and Barracas, and aboriginal
communities in the north of the country.
